The Wind Star is the ultimate sailing vessel with its four billowing white sails that unfurl at the push of a button, teak decks and rich wood interiors. The onboard atmosphere is casual, almost like sailing on your own private yacht, yet sophisticated. Guests will be amazed with all of the amenities found onboard. One of the ship’s most unique features is the open-air sports platform equipped with sailboards, snorkeling gear, water skis, sailboats and kayaks -- enough to keep the most avid water-sports lover happy. There’s a swimming pool, hot tub and fitness room, too. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon in the spa, treating yourself to a host of Elemis spa therapies, or sit in a lounge chair on deck and listen to the flap of the sails overhead. Public areas are light and airy, done in natural fabrics and polished woods. The open-seating restaurant is decorated in shades of sparkling blue, reminiscent of the sea, and is an ideal place to enjoy the delicious array of regional specialties served. For breakfast and lunch, take in the wonderful views while dining alfresco at the casual Veranda cafe conveniently located on the top deck. The ship is intimate, just four decks high, and is equipped with a small casino, piano bar and lounge for evening entertainment. And due to the Wind Star’s small size, passengers are always welcome to stop by the bridge to chat with officers and learn how the computer-operated sails work. All cabins boast ocean views.
